Parks & Beaches

If you’re looking for jaw-dropping scenery and breathtaking coastlines, you’ve come to the right place. Flanked by not one, but two Regional Parks and two Marine Reserves, Omaha is literally surrounded by areas of outstanding natural beauty. Notwithstanding its own, pristine white-sand beach, Omaha is perfect the jump-off point for dozens of other beaches – some of which you’ll already know, others you’ll soon discover.

A short drive south from Omaha is the Tawharanui Regional Park, which boasts some of Auckland most beautiful white sand beaches, rolling pastures, shingled bays, native coastal forest and regenerating wetlands. Set on its own peninsula, this regional park is one of north Auckland's best-kept secrets, boasting spectacular walking tracks that take in spectacular views of its white-beached bays. There is also a marine park, which provides a good environment for divers, snorkelers and bird watchers.

Pakiri Beach

One of Pakiri's best known activities is horse riding, offering a different way to explore the beach, native bush and farmland in the area with truly spectacular views in every direction.
